Stefan has more than 25 years of experience in successfully leading restructurings, special situations and private equity value creation programs.

Stefan is a seasoned, entrepreneurial transformation leader with CEO and CRO experience – combining clear strategic concepts with decisive leadership and rigorous execution.

He has led complex transformations from concept to results, turning strategic priorities and investment theses into improved earnings, stronger cash generation and higher enterprise value. His approach is hands-on: Set a clear direction, make decisions and drive execution with focus and discipline.

People are at the core of his leadership. Stefan builds high-performing management teams, creates accountability and empowers leaders to take ownership, especially where speed and decisive action matter. In demanding transformation and restructuring environments, he aligns shareholders, private equity investors, lenders, boards and management teams around a focused agenda, using transparency and trust to sustain momentum and deliver results.

Before Bickel & Company, Stefan founded candidus, an independent interim management boutique, and later served as Senior Partner at Roland Berger with global responsibility for Roland Berger IMPEX, its Interim Management business. He has successfully transformed businesses across automotive, mechanical and plant engineering, defence and consumer goods, and is particularly suited to CEO, CRO and CTO mandates where leadership, rapid stabilization and value creation are critical.
