Tobias Geerling

As a lawyer and certified tax advisor, Tobias has more than 30 years of experience in transactional work, advising in particular on tax, private equity and M&A transactions as well as on insolvency and restructurings.

Tobias started his career with one of the big four accounting firms (today pwc) and has since worked as a partner for international law firms in Berlin, Düsseldorf (Pünder – later Clifford Chance), New York, Frankfurt and Munich (Weil, Gotshal & Manges), where he has been leading the tax practice since 2000.

He has lectured and published on various corporate law and tax law matters, including his supplements in the Commentary to the German transformation and spin-off rules (Umwandlungsgesetz) published by the leading publishing house Beck.
